The Supreme Court on Monday (25th Nov) criticized the Delhi Police for inadequate pollution control enforcement, highlighting only 23 checkpoints were monitored despite Stage 4 of the Graded Response Action Plan being active. The court suggested prosecuting the Delhi Police Commissioner under the CAQM Act and appointed commissioners to evaluate GRAP implementation at border checkpoints.
