Kapil Sibal made a sharp and emotional remark while pressing the Supreme Court for urgent hearing in Sonam Wangchuk’s NSA detention case. He stressed that the matter deserves priority and no delay, citing serious constitutional violations.
Activist Sonam Wangchuk told the Supreme Court that despite winning 30 nation-building awards and openly opposing violence, he is being portrayed as a criminal under the National Security Act. His wife has challenged the detention, arguing that key videos showing his appeal for peace were withheld from the defence.
