The Gujarat High Court Advocates’ Association (GHCAA) has urged the Registrar General to remove stray dogs from the court premises, citing safety concerns and referring to the Supreme Court’s recent directive on managing stray animals across India.
Today, On 9th October, Gujarat High Court Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal modified the SOP after lawyers raised concerns, stressing that “bar and bench must work together, not bang each other,” urging unity and cooperation for the smooth functioning of the court system.
Gujarat High Court Bar urged CJI BR Gavai to transfer Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal, claiming her tenure caused major issues for lawyers and litigants. GHCAA President Brijesh Trivedi stated, “Main sufferers are litigants and Advocates especially juniors.”
Gujarat High Court lawyers returned to work after GHCAA delegation met CJI BR Gavai, urging reconsideration of Justice Sandeep Bhatt’s transfer to Madhya Pradesh HC. The association called the decision “unfortunate” and praised Justice Bhatt as “honest and hardworking.”

The Gujarat High Court Advocates’ Association (GHCAA) rejected the Advocate General’s apology to the Chief Justice regarding a recent dispute with the Bar President. The association emphasized that any future representations on behalf of the Bar must first gain approval from the GHCAA, ensuring collective accountability and decision-making.
