The All India Football Federation (AIFF) will approach the Supreme Court after receiving no bids for the Indian Super League’s (ISL) commercial rights. Justice (Retd.) L. Nageswara Rao will submit a report to the Court as the “next step in the process.”
The Supreme Court assured it would go the “extra mile” to finalise AIFF’s draft constitution and strengthen Indian football. It also pressed AIFF and FSDL to resolve the ISL deadlock threatening clubs’ survival.
The Supreme Court will hear on August 22 the AIFF–FSDL row over non-renewal of contracts impacting 11 ISL clubs. The standoff has put the 2025-26 season and Indian football’s future at risk.
