Today, On 15th May, The Supreme Court of India set aside a Delhi High Court order staying the sentence of former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, noting “We don’t endorse the hypertechnical view adopted by the High Court,” Justice Bagchi said today.
Delhi High Court dismissed appeal by Unnao survivor seeking death penalty for Kuldeep Singh Sengar citing delay. Bench of Navin Chawla and Ravinder Dudeja refused condonation of 1,945 days delay.
The Division Bench of the Karnataka High Court dismissed a writ appeal by a married daughter seeking compassionate appointment. The Court said her plea came after her 2005 death.
