The Supreme Court has deferred hearing on the Chhattisgarh government’s appeal challenging bail granted to Chaitanya Baghel in the alleged liquor scam cases. The bail was earlier granted by the High Court citing parity with co-accused and prolonged custody.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been sent to judicial custody until July 12 in a corruption case related to the 2021-22 Delhi Excise Policy after being held in CBI custody. The CBI argued that his custody was necessary to confront him with evidence. Kejriwal is also facing a money laundering case connected to the same policy.
