The Supreme Court condemned allegations made against Delhi High Court judges after suspension of Kuldeep Singh Sengar’s life sentence in the Unnao rape case, warning against politicising judicial decisions. The apex court stayed the HC order and stressed that attempts to malign judges must be firmly rejected.

Today, On 10th July, the Supreme Court collegium recommended the appointment of three additional judges from the Delhi High Court as permanent judges, aiming to strengthen the judiciary. It also proposed seven additional judges from the Bombay High Court for permanent positions and extension of terms for two others.
