Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the Ayushman Arogya Mandir at Tis Hazari, deeming it a key advance in public healthcare. She criticized the former AAP government for delaying the project for four years, emphasizing her administration’s commitment to providing improved health facilities. Additionally, 33 Arogya Mandirs were launched.
On October 7th, the Rouse Avenue court ordered BJP leader Praveen Shankar Kapoor to respond to Delhi CM Atishi’s revision petition in a defamation case. Atishi challenges a summoning order issued in Kapoor’s complaint, asserting that the BJP attempted to coerce her into joining the party. Arguments are set for October 23 and 24.
The Supreme Court of India Today (Sept 13) emphasized that High Courts should not send an accused back to the Trial Court for bail after having already heard the matter in detail. Apex Court’s ruling came after it found that the Delhi High Court, despite an extensive hearing, relegated the appellant, Arvind Kejriwal, to the Trial Court to seek bail.
