Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant said that “technology is the most effective way to address the judiciary’s time wastage” while speaking at the Madhya Pradesh High Court’s programme on “Fragmentation to Fusion: Empowering Justice via United Digital Platform Integration” in the city.
Chief Justice of India Surya Kant formed a Judicial Infrastructure Advisory Committee to assess court infrastructure nationwide and recommend funding reforms. The panel will submit a report by August 31, with the judiciary reportedly considering seeking Rs 40,000–50,000 crore for modernization and development projects.

According to the budget speech, this funding is designated for a central sector project aimed at the court’s infrastructure development.
