Today, On 9th October, The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has revoked advocate Rakesh Kishore’s membership following his attempt to throw a shoe at Chief Justice of India B.R. Gavai. The act was called a “direct assault on judicial independence.”
The Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry has suspended advocate R Balasubramanian from practicing law due to his abusive conduct towards judges. Following serious allegations, including obstructing police action and misleading clients, the suspension aims to uphold the legal profession’s dignity while disciplinary proceedings are ongoing.
