Madhya Pradesh Tribal Welfare Minister Vijay Shah has petitioned the Supreme Court against a High Court ruling that ordered an FIR for his controversial remarks about Army officer Colonel Sofia Qureshi. Following this, an FIR was registered against him, prompting calls for his removal, despite his public apology and respect for Qureshi.
Today, On 9th May, The Supreme Court urged the Centre not to release SSC women Army officers challenging denial of permanent commission. It said, “In the prevailing situation, let’s not bring their morale down,” stressing support for women in uniform.
