Delhi Court Extends 26/11 Accused Tahawwur Rana’s Custody Till July 9

A Delhi court has extended the judicial custody of Tahawwur Rana, linked to the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, until July 9, addressing his health concerns. Rana appeared via video due to security issues, and the court requested a health report from Tihar Jail by June 9. He was recently extradited from the US.

Tahawwur Rana, an accused in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks and close associate of main conspirator David Coleman Headley, was presented in a Delhi court after completing his 18-day NIA custody. The hearing will be “in-camera,” with arguments from NIA and his appointed defense attorney. His extradition from the U.S. precedes this trial.
