Police in Madhya Pradesh’s Narmadapuram registered an FIR against two unidentified persons for allegedly issuing death threats and making communal remarks against ADJ Tabassum Khan. The threats followed her judgment sentencing 14 men to life imprisonment in a mob lynching case linked to alleged cattle smuggling.
Delhi High Court granted bail to Sukanya Mondal, daughter of TMC leader Anubrata Mondal, in a money laundering case related to cattle smuggling. The court considered the lengthy trial duration, her father’s primary involvement, and provisions benefiting women under Section 45 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, ultimately granting her bail upon certain conditions.
Today(on 30th July), The Supreme Court granted bail to TMC leader Anubrata Mondal, who was arrested for allegedly smuggling cattle across the India-Bangladesh border. Mondal’s legal issues began on August 11, 2022, with the CBI investigating the case and the Supreme Court requesting a response from the CBI in September of the previous year.
