“Do It in 3 Weeks or Face Contempt”: Supreme Court Gives Last Chance to Telangana Speaker on BRS MLAs’ Disqualification

The Supreme Court of India has given a final three-week deadline to the Telangana Assembly Speaker to decide pending disqualification pleas against BRS MLAs who defected to Congress. Warning of strict action, the Court said failure to act within the timeline will invite contempt proceedings.

Telangana HC Adjourns Hearing on K Chandrashekar Rao’s Petition Against Narasimha Reddy Commission

On Thursday (27th June),The Telangana High Court adjourned a petition by K Chandrashekar Rao seeking a stay on Justice (retired) L Narasimha Reddy Commission proceedings until June 28. Rao, president of Bharat Rashtra Samiti and former Telangana Chief Minister, challenged the commission’s proceedings.
