Today, On 28th February, The Delhi Government informed the Supreme Court that it is proceeding with the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme and sought to withdraw its Special Leave Petition (SLP). The scheme aims to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and improve access to medical services. The decision aligns with the Pradhan Mantri – Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) to enhance public health facilities.
Seven BJP MPs withdrew their Delhi High Court petition for the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme after the new government assured its execution in the first cabinet meeting. The Delhi High Court on Thursday(27th Nov) has directed the AAP government to respond to a petition from seven BJP MPs seeking the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in Delhi. The court emphasized the importance of setting aside political differences for the welfare of residents facing high healthcare costs. Further hearings are set for December 11.
