The Rajasthan High Court has extended self-styled godman Asaram’s interim bail till August 29 after reviewing his medical reports. A special doctor’s panel will examine his ‘critical’ health and submit a report by August 27.
The Gujarat High Court granted a final one-month extension of interim bail to Asaram, convicted in multiple rape cases, on medical grounds. The court clearly stated this would be the “final extension” and refused a further three-month plea.
The Rajasthan High Court denied Asaram’s bail petition, stating he violated Supreme Court conditions while on interim bail. His lawyer must submit an affidavit addressing these allegations. Following the end of his bail, Asaram was briefly hospitalized but remains in custody due to pending cases, including a life sentence for rape.
Today, On 14th January, The Rajasthan High Court granted interim bail to Asaram in the 2013 rape case, citing health grounds. The bail will remain in effect until March 31, 2025. This decision follows a similar order previously issued by the Supreme Court. Asaram, who has been serving a life sentence, sought relief due to his deteriorating health.

The court emphasized it would only consider ongoing health issues while rejecting previous suspension requests by the Gujarat High Court.
