Today, On 14th October, The Delhi High Court granted the Enforcement Directorate (ED) a last and final opportunity to argue its plea challenging the June 2024 bail granted to AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal by the Rouse Avenue Court, listing the matter for November 10.
The Supreme Court criticized lawyers for dragging arbitration appeals with long arguments and too many case citations. It stressed the need for time limits to ensure courts can also focus on common people’s cases.
The Supreme Court Today (Jan 15) harshly criticized the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for presenting incorrect legal arguments against the statutory exemption for women under Section 45 of the PMLA, stating, “We will not accept actions by the Union of India that involve making arguments contrary to the law.” Granting bail to Shashi Bala, accused in a money laundering case, the court highlighted the importance of adhering to clear legal provisions and denounced the ED’s missteps in the case.
Supreme Court Today (Dec 19) reprimanded ED counsel for presenting arguments conflicting with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002. ED maintained that stringent conditions apply even to women or those who are ill or infirm.

Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court has sent five accused individuals to 14 days of judicial custody in connection with the tragic drowning of three UPSC aspirants in the basement of Rau’s IAS coaching center. The incident occurred due to flooding in the basement after heavy rain, leading to concerns about safety measures in educational institutions.
“There is neither Air Conditioner nor Cooler in the Court Room. Temperature is more than 40 Degree Celsius. There is too much heat in the Court room which led to sweating as such it is difficult to hear arguments”. A consumer court in Delhi adjourned a case to November citing difficulty in hearing the matter during the summer due to lack of air conditioner or cooler in the court room.
