Today, On 5th January, The Supreme Court dismissed a petition challenging state-sponsored ceremonial honours at Ajmer Dargah and the chadar offering to Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti by Prime Minister Modi. Citing it as “infructuous” and “not a justiciable issue,” Court rejected the plea.
The Delhi High Court is considering halting the CAG audit of the Ajmer Sharif Dargah due to procedural issues, as the management committee has not received the official audit terms. A decision will be made after a hearing on May 7, following arguments regarding the Dargah’s right to respond to the audit.
