Director-producer-screenwriter Kiran Rao on Friday attended the screening of her film ‘Laapataa Ladies’ at the Supreme Court of India. “It fills my heart with immense pride to see ‘Laapataa Ladies’ making history by being screened at the Supreme Court of India,” she said.
Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud today organized a special screening of the film “Laapataa Ladies” at the Supreme Court to promote gender sensitization and a supportive work environment. Aamir Khan, along with director Kiran Rao, attended the event. The initiative aims to enhance cultural and social awareness within the Court for a more inclusive environment.
Today(on 9th August), the Supreme Court will host a screening of the Hindi film Laapataa Ladies for judges, their spouses, and registry members, organized by CJI DY Chandrachud. The event will also feature appearances by the film’s producers, Aamir Khan, and director Kiran Rao.
The Gujarat High Court on Wednesday (June 19th) said it would watch the film “Maharaj” and then decide the plea seeking a stay on the film’s release on the Over The Top (OTT) platform Netflix.
