The Indian government canceled the passport of Nishant Aggarwal, a key accused in the PAN card scam, after a Blue Corner notice was issued against him. The Supreme Court, under the leadership of the Chief Justice, is set to hear the case today at 2 PM.

New Delhi: The Government of India revoked the passport of Nishant Aggarwal, a key accused in the PAN card scam, after a Blue Corner notice was issued against him.

This action comes as part of an ongoing investigation into the large-scale financial fraud linked to the misuse of Permanent Account Numbers (PANs) for illegal activities.

The Supreme Court, under the leadership of the Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna, is scheduled to hear the case today at 2 PM.

The PAN card scam is a major financial fraud where fake or illegally obtained PAN cards were used for fraudulent transactions, money laundering, and identity theft. The scam came to light when authorities discovered multiple fake PANs linked to unauthorized bank accounts and illegal financial activities.

Nishant Aggarwal, a central figure in the case, is accused of being involved in the fraudulent issuance of PAN cards and using them for financial crimes. Law enforcement agencies have been tracking his movements, leading to the issuance of a Blue Corner notice, which is used to locate, identify, and obtain information about a person involved in an ongoing investigation.

After the notice was issued, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) quickly canceled Aggarwal’s passport, stopping him from traveling abroad. Officials believe he may have tried to leave India to avoid legal action.

The Supreme Court of India will hear the case today, led by the Chief Justice. Legal experts say the court’s decision could decide what happens next whether Aggarwal should be arrested right away or if more investigation is needed before taking further action.

With his passport canceled, Aggarwal now has very few ways to escape legal action. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will continue their investigation. If found guilty, he could face strict punishment for financial fraud and identity theft.

This case raises serious concerns about identity fraud in India and shows the government’s efforts to stop financial scams. The Supreme Court’s decision today will be important in deciding the next steps in the investigation.

Nishant Aggarwal is the main person behind a big GST fraud case in Noida. His gang created many fake companies using Aadhaar and PAN cards to cheat the government and get tax benefits illegally. This scam has caused a huge loss to the government. By December 2023, the police had arrested 29 people linked to this fraud, but Nishant Aggarwal is still missing and is believed to be hiding in Mumbai.
