Today, On 10th February, The legal community gathered in the Supreme Court to wish Chief Justice of India Surya Kant on his birthday, as lawyers across the Bar greeted him warmly. CJI Surya Kant acknowledged their wishes with a gracious “Thank you.”
The legal community came together today to wish Chief Justice of India Surya Kant on his birthday. Lawyers from across the Supreme Court Bar extended their greetings as the CJI entered the courtroom in the morning.
As soon as the Bench assembled, several members of the Bar conveyed their heartfelt wishes to the Chief Justice. Senior advocates and junior lawyers alike joined in expressing respect and warmth on the special occasion.
Chief Justice Surya Kant acknowledged the greetings with a brief but gracious response. “Thank you,”
He said, smiling while continuing with the day’s proceedings.
Earlier, yesterday, it was reported thatJustice Surya Kant’s 64th birthday will be celebrated Today in Rohtak with a series of events organised by theBar Association, including a blood donation camp and the cutting of a 65-pound cake.
The Rohtak District Bar Association is hosting a program to commemorate Justice Surya Kant’s milestone birthday, which will see attendance from all judges, including District Court Sessions Judge Ajay Tewatia. The Bar Association aims to offer prayers for Justice Surya Kant’s continued health and longevity.
Bar Association President Deepak Hooda mentioned that he met with Chief Justice Surya Kant at his Delhi home in early January to extend an invitation to Rohtak. During this meeting, the CJI reminisced about his strong emotional ties to Rohtak and promised to visit soon.
Hooda noted that, as promised, Justice Surya Kant will be visiting the Bar Association on February 14, and his birthday celebration will take place a day prior. A 65-pound cake will be cut in the presence of the Sessions Judge during the event.
Hooda added that a blood donation camp will be inaugurated on the Chief Justice’s birthday, with a team from PGI set to collect the blood donations. Sessions Judge Ajay Tewatia will inaugurate the camp, and all Bar Association members are expected to participate. The aim is to collect more than 100 units of blood.
Hooda also mentioned that when Justice Surya Kant arrives at the Rohtak Bar Association on February 14, a felicitation ceremony will be held in his honor. Judges from the Punjab and Haryana High Court, as well as the District Court, will also be present.
Additionally, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is expected to join the event.
