On Friday, the court announced its decision and sent him to jail. However, five other people who were also accused in the same case were declared not guilty and released.
The case goes back to 2018, when a woman from Zirakpur, Punjab, had filed a complaint against Bajinder Singh and others, accusing them of sexual harassment. The case finally came to a conclusion after nearly eight years.
On March 19, 2025, all six people, including Bajinder Singh, appeared in the Mohali court for the hearing. Due to the sensitive nature of the case and fear of possible protests, police authorities made tight security arrangements. Around 150 police personnel were deployed in and around the court premises. Many of Bajinder Singh’s followers gathered outside the court and protested in support of him, which increased the security concerns.
After the court declared Bajinder Singh guilty, he was immediately taken to Ropar jail. The victim and her family expressed relief and satisfaction that justice had finally been served.
The survivor said she had been waiting for justice for many years, despite facing pressure and fear. She said that the accused tried to force her to take back the case by threatening and intimidating her.
“I waited for nearly eight years with threats and intimidation by the accused to withdraw the case,”
-she said.
Her husband, Sarabjit Singh, also spoke to India Today and revealed that there were several counter FIRs filed against him by Bajinder Singh and his wife.
“There were multiple cross FIRs against him by the pastor and his wife,”
-he said.
According to the woman’s statement, Bajinder Singh had sexually assaulted her at his house in Sector 63, Chandigarh. She also alleged that he had secretly recorded the incident. Later, he reportedly threatened her by saying he would leak the video on social media if she told anyone or refused to do what he said. Though Bajinder Singh was arrested, he was granted bail later in 2018.
Back then, he was caught at the Delhi airport while trying to fly to London for a healing event.
“The self-styled godman was arrested at the Delhi airport while boarding a flight to London, where he was set to attend a healing event,”
-reports said.
After his arrest, his supporters created a huge uproar. They protested and asked the authorities to cancel the FIR registered against him.
“Bajinder Singh’s supporters protested against his arrest and demanded the cancellation of the FIR lodged against him.”

This is not the only case against Bajinder Singh. In recent weeks, he has been surrounded by several more serious allegations involving sexual harassment and physical assault.
Just three days ago, another case was filed against him after a video went viral on social media. In the video, Bajinder Singh was seen throwing a book and a phone at a man and woman in his office. This video caused a huge outrage online.
The woman in the video later said she had worked at Bajinder Singh’s church for many years but decided to quit after the incident. She also made serious allegations that several young women and girls who volunteered at the church were being followed, troubled, and harassed. She said Bajinder Singh even physically attacked women who tried to speak up.

-she said.
“Bajinder Singh had manhandled women who raised concerns.”
Earlier in March 2025, another FIR was registered against Bajinder Singh in Kapurthala, Punjab. This time, a 22-year-old woman accused him of sexual harassment, stalking, and criminal intimidation. But Bajinder Singh denied all these charges. He claimed that another pastor was trying to defame him by creating a fake scandal.
