Today, On 16th May, Karnataka JDS leader HD Revanna granted interim bail on Thursday in a sexual assault case. The interim relief allows him temporary freedom pending further legal proceedings. Karnataka: A court in Karnataka granted interim bail to JDS leader HD Revanna in a sexual assault case involving his house help. The complaint also named his son, Prajwal Revanna, a JDS MP. The court imposed certain conditions and set a bail bond of Rs 5 lakh. The main bail plea will be heard on Friday. The court also instructed HD Revanna not to tamper with evidence or influence witnesses.
An SIT formed by the state government arrested HD Revanna on May 5 in connection with the kidnapping case related to the sexual abuse allegations. The 66-year-old, who the son of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, granted conditional bail in that case on Tuesday.

According to the complaint, the woman subjected to sexual abuse and allegedly abducted to prevent her from testifying against Prajwal.
Meanwhile, Prajwal Revanna, who accused of explicit videos depicting sexual abuse that went viral, is reportedly evading arrest and currently abroad. Interpol has issued a Blue Corner Notice against the 33-year-old, who an NDA candidate from the Hassan Lok Sabha constituency. He said to have left the country on April 27, the day after the elections.
HD Deve Gowda, On Thursday, the leader of JDS, announced that he would not be observing his birthday on May 18. Sources within the JD(S) party revealed that the veteran politician has chosen to forgo the celebration due to the ‘challenging circumstances’ faced by his family as a result of the allegations against his son, MP Prajwal Revanna, and himself.
