A court case has been filed against Rahul Gandhi by Simran Gupta, President of Hindu Shakti Dal, for his statement on fighting the BJP, RSS, and the Indian State. Gupta claims Gandhi’s remarks threaten India’s unity and disrespect democracy. The case has been admitted in the MP-MLA court for further proceedings.
Sambhal: A court case has been filed against senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his recent remarks that “we are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian State itself.” The application was moved by Hindu Shakti Dal National President Simran Gupta in the special MP-MLA court in Chandausi, Sambhal. According to Gupta’s lawyer, Sachin Goyal, the case has been filed under Section 173(4) of the BNSS Act and has been admitted for further proceedings.
Gupta has taken issue with Gandhi’s comments made during the inauguration of the Congress’ new headquarters in Delhi on January 15, where he stated that the BJP and the RSS have captured every institution of the country.
“We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian State itself,”
Gandhi said. Gupta claims that this comment demonstrates disrespect towards the citizens and democracy of the country, and poses a threat to the unity and integrity of India.
Simran Gupta said,
“Rahul Gandhi, during the inauguration, remarked that ‘our fight is not only with the RSS and BJP but also with India’.
This comment demonstrates disrespect towards the citizens and democracy of the country. It mocks the people and poses a threat to the unity and integrity of India.” Gupta had written to the Sambhal district magistrate and the DGP of Uttar Pradesh on January 18, but no action was taken, prompting him to file the court case.

Gupta’s lawyer, Sachin Goyal, added that the statement by Rahul Gandhi shows disregard for Indian democracy and the Constitution, which threatens the country’s unity and integrity.
“Such remarks are inappropriate and against the national interest,”
Goyal said. The court has admitted the case for further proceedings, but the next date has not yet been given.
