A Sambhal court has sent a notice to Rahul Gandhi over his controversial statement about “fighting the Indian state.” The complaint was filed by Hindu Shakti Dal president Simran Gupta.

Sambhal: Uttar Pradesh May 7, A local court in Sambhal has sent a notice to Rahul Gandhi, who is the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, after he made a controversial comment during a public speech.
The court wants to know his side on the matter and has asked him to reply to the complaint.

This legal notice was issued by Additional District Judge (ADJ-II) Aarti Faujdar on Wednesday. It is based on a complaint filed by Simran Gupta, who is the national president of an organization named Hindu Shakti Dal.
The complaint is regarding Rahul Gandhi’s words during an event that took place on January 15 this year in Delhi.
On January 15, Rahul Gandhi was speaking at the inauguration of the Congress party’s new headquarters in Delhi.
During his speech, he made a strong statement where he said,
“The BJP and the RSS had captured every institution of the country”.
He further added,
“We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS and the Indian state itself.”
These remarks have sparked controversy and have led to the legal complaint against him. The complainant, Simran Gupta, believes that such a statement goes against the country and its unity.

The court, therefore, has now formally asked Rahul Gandhi to respond to the claims made in the complaint.
