Mumbai court rejects bail plea of Mohammed Rafiq Sardar Chaudhari, accused of scouting Galaxy Apartments before the April 2024 shooting at Salman Khan’s residence. Lawrence Bishnoi and Anmol Bishnoi remain wanted in the high-profile case.

Mumbai: A special court in Mumbai on Monday rejected the bail plea of an alleged member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang who is linked to the shooting incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence last year.
The court, under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA), is presided over by Judge Mahesh Jadhav. The detailed order of the court has not been made available yet.

The shooting took place on the morning of April 14, 2024, outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Bandra West. Two individuals on a motorcycle, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, were identified as the shooters involved in the incident.
According to police reports, Mohammed Rafiq Sardar Chaudhari had
“recced Galaxy Apartments two days before the firing, had shot a video of the area and sent it to Anmol Bishnoi,”
who remains one of the wanted accused in the case. Chaudhari, along with Gupta and Pal, as well as Sonukumar Bishnoi, Mohd Rafiq Choudhary, and Harpal Singh, are currently in judicial custody.
Tragically, one of the accused, Anujkumar Thapan, “committed suicide in police custody,” highlighting the gravity of the ongoing investigation.
In the chargesheet filed by the police, Lawrence Bishnoi and Anmol Bishnoi have been named as “wanted accused,” and the authorities are actively pursuing them in connection with the attack on the Bollywood actor’s residence.
The case continues to draw widespread attention due to the involvement of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang and the high-profile nature of the target.
Law enforcement agencies remain vigilant as the investigation progresses and more details about the shooting and the gang’s activities emerge.
