New Delhi: On Tuesday (Oct 22): Lawyers at the Saket District Court announced a boycott of work on Tuesday, protesting an alleged attack on advocates at a nursery in Mehrauli.

Members of the Saket Bar Association received messages urging them to “completely abstain from work on October 22” in response to the “brutal attack on lawyers by local goons within the jurisdiction of Mehrauli police station.”

Bar Association President Vinod Sharma confirmed the decision to suspend work. At the same time, former Secretary Dhir Singh Kasana explained that the protest was triggered by Monday’s incident near the Qutub Minar Metro Station.

Kasana added.

He further noted that the incident, captured on video and now viral, has deeply upset the legal community.
