Today, On 12th June, The remand of a 17-year-old boy, allegedly involved in a fatal car crash in Pune last month, has been extended by the Juvenile Justice Board till June 25. The incident, which resulted in the deaths of two IT engineers, occurred while the teen was reportedly driving under the influence of alcohol. The police have charged the minor with several offenses related to the crash.
Pune: The Juvenile Justice Board extended the remand of a 17-year-old boy in an observation home until June 25 in connection with the Pune Porsche crash incident, as stated by an official. The minor teen initially remanded to the juvenile observation home on May 22, and his remand set to end on June 12.
However, the Juvenile Justice Board now extended his stay in the observation home until June 25.
The incident occurred in the early hours of May 19, when the Porsche car driven by the teenager, who is the son of a builder, crashed into a motorcycle in Kalyani Nagar, Pune.
The collision resulted in the deaths of two IT professionals and Ashwini Koshta. According to the police, the minor teen driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
The minor’s parents currently in police custody due to allegations of tampering with his blood samples.
The incident occurred in the early hours of May 19 in Kalyani Nagar, where a Porsche allegedly driven by the 17-year-old crashed into a two-wheeler, killing two IT professionals. The police claimed the juvenile was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
The Police have arrested Naman Bhutada, owner of Cosie Hotel, bar counter manager Sachin Katkar, and Blak club manager Sachin Sangle. These individuals are accused of serving alcohol to a juvenile, who later caused the fatal accident. The father of the juvenile has also been arrested, although he has yet to be presented in court for custody.

The Pune Police arrested Surendra Agarwal, the grandfather of the 17-year-old boy who fatally crashed his sports car into a bike, killing two IT professionals on May 19. The arrest took place at 3 am on Saturday from Agarwal’s residence, marking the third FIR registered in this case.
The police station registered a case against the juvenile driver under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicles Act, including charges of rash driving and causing death by negligence.
The police have charged the minor with rash and negligent driving and causing harm by endangering life or personal safety under IPC Sections 304A, 279, 337, 338, and 427, along with relevant sections of the Maharashtra Motor Vehicle Act.
