The family seeks a First Information Report for various offenses, citing lack of police action.

Mathura: The family of a 10-year-old spiritual orator, known as “Bal Sant Baba,” has sought legal recourse against seven YouTubers, claiming that their online actions have caused severe emotional distress. The complaint, lodged in a Mathura court by the child’s mother, accuses the YouTubers of creating a video that is “maliciously designed” to mock and defame the child’s religious beliefs.

The complaint outlines the serious impact of the YouTubers’ actions, stating,

“The conduct of the accused persons has forced the present complainant to the stage of absolute collapse and family suicide.”

It highlights the challenges faced by the minor, who is now unable to freely practice his religion or live without fear of harassment, whether online or offline.

The viral videos questioning the child’s authenticity and spiritual credibility have intensified the scrutiny he faces. Concerns have been raised regarding whether the child is being influenced by his parents for fame and other benefits. The controversy escalated when a video of him dancing before a Hindu spiritual leader went viral, leading to public disapproval from the leader, Swami Rambhadracharya, who admonished him.

The complaint asserts that the YouTubers are profiting from content targeting the child, branding them as anti-Hindu. It alleges,

“The accused is an anti-Hindu element, and the content of the videos was crafted to promote hate against the practices and beliefs of the Hindu religion.”

The document further claims that these actions are not merely defamatory but constitute a calculated attempt to disrupt religious harmony and incite hatred.

In seeking a First Information Report (FIR), the complaint cites multiple offenses, including criminal conspiracy, outraging religious feelings, cheating, criminal defamation, criminal intimidation, and extortion. The mother asserts that prior attempts to engage the police have yielded no action against the accused, prompting this legal move.

This case underscores the ongoing challenges faced by public figures, especially minors, in navigating the complexities of social media and the potential repercussions of online trolling and defamation. As the court deliberates on the matter, the family hopes for justice and a safer environment for the child to practice his beliefs freely.
