Prajwal Revanna, aged 33, was arrested by Karnataka Police at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport upon his return from Germany on May 31, on charges of rape and sexual abuse against several women. Following his arrest, he was remanded to judicial custody.
Earlier, SIT officials arrested Revanna shortly after he arrived at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport from Germany on May 31.
Prajwal Revanna departed for Germany on April 27, just one day after the elections in Hassan. Prior to this, Interpol had issued a ‘Blue Corner Notice’ to locate him, based on a request from the Special Investigation Team (SIT) through the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
On May 18, a Special Court for Elected Representatives issued an arrest warrant for Revanna, following an application from the SIT. He apprehended for a case filed on April 28 in Holenarasipura, Hassan district, where he accused of sexually harassing a 47-year-old former maid. He is the second accused in this case, with his father, MLA H D Revanna, being the primary accused.

Prajwal Revanna faces allegations in three sexual assault cases and also has charges of rape against him.
On Tuesday, a fourth case was registered against Revanna, involving allegations of sexual harassment, stalking, and criminal intimidation. This case emerged after accusations that he had recorded a video call and shared it with others.

Previously, Revanna was implicated in three cases of sexual assault, with explicit videos allegedly involving him being circulated in Hassan ahead of the Lok Sabha polls on April 26. In response to these allegations, the JD(S) suspended him from the party.
Additionally, Prajwal Revanna’s father, HD Revanna, was arrested last month in connection with cases of sexual harassment and kidnapping, although he was granted bail shortly after his arrest.
