UTTAR PRADESH: On Wednesday(13th March), a local court in UP has handed down a 10-year rigorous imprisonment sentence to an individual for the murder of his father, stemming from a monetary disagreement.
District Judge Ashok Kumar, presiding over the case, found Triloki Rajbhar guilty of the grave crime of murdering his father, Gaurishankar Rajbhar, in the year 2018. The court’s decision was not taken lightly, reflecting the severity of the act and its impact on the community. In addition to the sentence of rigorous imprisonment, the judge imposed a nominal fine of Rs 2,000 on the convict, signaling the legal system’s disapproval of such violent familial disputes.
The background case is rooted in a financial disagreement that took a deadly turn. Superintendent of Police Dev Ranjan Verma provided insights into the case, stating: Triloki Rajbhar had brutally beaten up his father Gaurishankar Rajbhar on June 4, 2018, over some monetary issues.
The altercation, driven by unresolved monetary issues, resulted in severe injuries for Gaurishankar Rajbhar, who was later admitted to a hospital. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries, leading to a subsequent investigation and the registration of a case against his son, Triloki.
