A brief look into Justice Bhat’s journey reveals a career marked by dedication and excellence. After completing his law degree from the Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi in 1982, he began his legal practice at the Supreme Court. By 1989, he had achieved the distinction of becoming an advocate-on-record. His journey in the judiciary commenced with his appointment as an additional judge of the Delhi High Court in 2004. He was elevated to the position of a permanent judge in 2006.
His exemplary service led to his appointment as the Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court in May 2019. Shortly after, in September 2019, he was elevated to the Supreme Court, where he served until his recent retirement.
