Today, On 3rd March, A Delhi court asked a Congress leader to provide information to AAP leaders Atishi and Sanjay Singh in a defamation case. The lawsuit stems from allegations made during a December 26 press conference, where Atishi and Singh accused Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit of accepting crores from the BJP. They also claimed that Congress was colluding with the BJP to defeat AAP.
New Delhi: A Delhi court directed Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit on Monday to provide documents related to his defamation lawsuit against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders Atishi and Sanjay Singh.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Paras Dalal also instructed the complainant to furnish a copy of the pen drive containing the alleged defamatory statements to the respondents.

The defamation suit alleges that during a press conference on December 26 of last year, Atishi and AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh accused Dikshit of accepting crores of rupees from the BJP and claimed that the Congress was colluding with the saffron party to undermine the AAP.
The lawsuit contends that the two AAP leaders were “deliberately causing harm to Dikshit’s goodwill.”
The court issued a notice to Atishi and Singh on January 16 in response to the complaint. The case is scheduled to be heard on March 12.
The defamation case began after AAP leaders Atishi and Sanjay Singh made allegations in a press conference on December 26, 2023. They accused Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit of taking crores of rupees from the BJP and claimed that Congress was working with the BJP to defeat AAP in elections.
Dikshit denied these claims and filed a defamation case, saying the allegations were false and harmed his reputation. The Delhi court, hearing the case, has now asked Dikshit to share details with Atishi and Sanjay Singh. This case reflects the ongoing political rivalry between AAP and Congress, especially before the elections.
Sandeep Dikshit is a senior Congress leader and former Member of Parliament (MP) from East Delhi. He is the son of the late Sheila Dikshit, the former Chief Minister of Delhi. Known for his outspoken views, he has been actively involved in Delhi and national politics.
He recently made headlines for filing a defamation case against AAP leaders Atishi and Sanjay Singh, who accused him of taking money from the BJP and claimed that Congress was colluding with the party. The case is currently being heard in a Delhi court.
