Today, On 20th November, Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy appeared before the CBI special court in Hyderabad in connection with the disproportionate assets case. The hearing focused on allegations of quid pro quo deals allegedly linked to his tenure.

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy appeared before the special CBI court in Nampally on Thursday in connection with the alleged Disproportionate Assets Case.
His appearance was mandated by the court.
Earlier, In September 2025, the court permitted him to travel to Europe for 15 days in October, stipulating that he return to court on November 14.
After his return from abroad, he submitted a memo requesting exemption due to various reasons but assured the court he would attend on November 20.
Additionally, On Thursday morning, he flew from Gannavaram airport in Vijayawada to Begumpet airport. Upon his arrival, he traveled by road to the CBI court in Nampally, accompanied by supporters from the YSR Congress Party.
It is important to note that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) initiated this case on August 17, 2011, charging him under Sections 120-B, 409, 420, and 477A of the IPC, as well as Section 13(2) read with 13(1)(c) and (d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
The allegations involve quid pro quo actions during his late father YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s tenure as Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh from 2004 to 2009.
YS Jagan was arrested in May 2012 and placed in judicial custody but was granted bail in September 2013.
The CBI has conducted investigations and submitted 11 charge sheets between 2012 and 2014.
