The leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), who was apprehended by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21, has been under the scrutiny of the law since his arrest. Following his detention, the court mandated a remand period extending till March 28, keeping him in custody for further investigation.

According to insiders from the court, the Enforcement Directorate is expected to request an extension of Kejriwal’s custody, aiming to delve deeper into the investigation of the case.

This development has caught the public eye, spotlighting the intense intersection of politics and law enforcement in the case. CM Kejriwal Labels Excise Policy Case as 'Political Conspiracy' Upon Arrival at Court Today

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is appearing before Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court Today, marking the culmination of his custodial remand with the Enforcement Directorate. This development unfolds against the backdrop of the Delhi High Court’s recent decision, which declined immediate relief for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, asserting non-interference with his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate.

The anticipation surrounding Kejriwal’s court appearance surged following remarks made by his wife, Sunita, who hinted at a significant revelation concerning alleged irregularities in the liquor policy case during Thursday’s proceedings. Asserting that no illicit funds were uncovered during multiple raids on the premises of Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, and Satyendar Jain conducted by the central probe agency, Sunita Kejriwal alluded to a forthcoming expose by her husband.

However, with the likelihood of heightened tensions and potential protests by AAP workers and leaders, the Delhi Police has taken proactive measures to maintain law and order. Ahead of Kejriwal’s scheduled appearance, law enforcement personnel and paramilitary forces have been deployed to forestall any untoward incidents.

According to reports, the Delhi Police has assigned critical duties to its personnel, with officers of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) rank remaining actively present on the ground. Directives have been issued to detain protesters, and thorough vehicle inspections have been mandated in the vicinity to ensure security and prevent any disruptions during Kejriwal’s court proceedings.
