The bail hearing of actor Allu Arjun in connection with the Sandhya Theatre stampede case is set to take place today. The case stems from a stampede incident during a public event, leading to injuries and chaos. Allu Arjun, a prominent figure in the Telugu film industry, has been implicated in the matter. The court’s decision on the bail plea is awaited with significant public interest.

Hyderabad: The bail hearing for Allu Arjun, star of ‘Pushpa 2’, related to the Sandhya Theatre stampede case, is set for Friday at the Nampally court in Hyderabad. The stampede occurred on December 4 during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule, when a large crowd gathered to see the actor.
Chaos raised as he waved to fans from the sunroof of his car, resulting in the tragic death of a woman named Revathi and injuries to her child. Following the incident, Allu Arjun arrested but later released on bail after posting a Rs 50,000 bond.
The boy injured, On December 24, in the incident began to respond after 20 days. Bhaskar, the father of the injured child, stated,
“The child responded after 20 days. He is responding today. Allu Arjun and the Telangana government are supporting us.”
On December 25, Allu Aravind, a film producer and Allu Arjun’s father, announced a financial support package of Rs 2 crores for Sri Tej, the son of Revathi, who lost her life in the tragedy, as well as for the victim’s family.
After visiting the injured child, Allu Aravind told the media,
“After speaking to the doctors, we are very happy to know that the boy is recovering. He has been taken off the ventilator and is breathing on his own, and the doctors are very positive about his recovery.”
He further explained,
“To support the family and the boy for his future, we thought we should provide Rs 2 crores Rs 1 crore has been given by Allu Arjun, Rs 50 lakhs by the producers, and Rs 50 lakhs by the director.”

Allu Arjun granted interim bail just an hour after a lower court had sent him to judicial custody for 14 days related to a stampede at a theater during the premiere of “Pushpa 2: The Rule.”
The developments followed a dramatic day that began with the actor’s arrest at his residence in Jubilee Hills.
The incident involved a tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre on December 4, which resulted in the death of a woman and left her son critically injured. Police filed charges against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under sections 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 118(1) (voluntarily causing hurt) r/w 3(5) BNS.
While facing legal issues, Allu Arjun’s film continues to perform exceptionally well at the box office, having earned Rs 1,800 crore worldwide in just 26 days. The film, made with a budget of Rs 400–500 crore, also features Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, and Prakash Raj.
