- Typing Speed: A minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute on computers is required.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a law degree.
- Work Experience: A minimum of five years of experience as a Private Secretary, Senior Personal Assistant, or Senior Stenographer in the public sector is essential.
Selection Process
To secure the position, candidates must clear several stages of the selection process:
- Typing Test on Computers: A speed of 40 words per minute is required.
- Shorthand Test in English: Candidates must achieve a speed of 120 words per minute.
- Objective Type Test: This comprises 100 multiple-choice questions, distributed as follows:
- 50 questions on General English.
- 15 questions on General Aptitude.
- 25 questions on Knowledge of Law.
- 10 questions on General Knowledge.
During the transcription phase, candidates are allotted 45 minutes and are permitted a “maximum mistakes of 5 percent” of the total dictated words.
- Interview Round: Candidates must score a minimum of 15 out of 30 marks in the interview to secure the position.
Age Limit
Eligible candidates must fall within the age bracket of 30 to 45 years.
