The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended 26 judges for the Allahabad High Court, including two women lawyers, Garima Prashad and Swarupama Chaturvedi, from the top court, strengthening judicial appointments and gender diversity.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!NEW DELHI: At its meeting on September 1, the Supreme Court Collegium recommended the appointment of 26 candidates, 12 from the Bar and 14 judicial officers, as judges of the Allahabad High Court.
Four women are on the list, including Senior Advocates Garima Prashad and Swarupama Chaturvedi from the Supreme Court and judicial officers Vani Ranjan Agrawal and Babita Rani. These recommendations follow Collegium interactions reportedly held with 33 candidates to fill existing vacancies.

The recommendations will now be processed by the Central Government and, upon approval and presidential warrant, the appointees will take oath as Judges of the Allahabad High Court.
