BREAKING | Supreme Court Collegium Transfers 14 High Court Judges Across India: Read Full List

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the transfer and repatriation of 14 judges from different High Courts in India. This decision was taken during meetings held on 25th August 2025 and 26th August 2025.

The move aims to ensure balanced functioning of High Courts across the country and to strengthen judicial administration. Transfers and repatriations of judges are a regular feature in the Indian judicial system, done to maintain transparency, efficiency, and avoid any possible conflicts of interest.

List of Judges Transferred/Repatriated

  1. Justice Atul Sreedharan – From Madhya Pradesh to Chhattisgarh High Court
  2. Justice Sanjay Agrawal – From Chhattisgarh to Allahabad High Court
  3. Justice Ms. J. Nisha Banu – From Madras to Kerala High Court
  4. Justice Dinesh Mehta – From Rajasthan to Delhi High Court
  5. Justice Avneesh Jhingan (PHC: Punjab & Haryana) – From Rajasthan to Delhi High Court
  6. Justice Arun Monga (PHC: Punjab & Haryana) – From Delhi to Rajasthan High Court
  7. Justice Sanjay Kumar Singh – From Allahabad to Patna High Court

Why Are Judges Transferred?
