CJI B.R. Gavai and SCBA Chief Flags Off “Justice for All” Walkathon

NEW DELHI: Chief Justice of India B.R. Gavai and Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Vikas Singh on Sunday flagged off a special walkathon themed “Justice for All” from the Supreme Court premises to India Gate.

The event, organised by the Supreme Court Bar Association, witnessed enthusiastic participation from hundreds of lawyers, legal professionals, and members of the judiciary. The walkathon aimed to promote awareness about justice, equality, and access to the legal system for every citizen, a core principle enshrined in the Constitution of India.

Senior Supreme Court judges, including Justice Vikram Nath, Justice J.K. Maheshwari, and Justice Sanjay Karol, also joined the walkathon, showcasing a strong message of unity, inclusivity, and commitment within the legal fraternity.

The 8-kilometre run/walk began at 7 AM from the Supreme Court Gate, proceeding through central Delhi to India Gate. The event created an inspiring atmosphere of camaraderie and social responsibility, encouraging participants to balance professional commitment with physical fitness and public engagement.

The “Justice for All” theme resonated deeply with participants and onlookers alike, symbolising the judiciary’s ongoing dedication to equal access to justice and strengthening public trust in the legal system.

Speaking at the event, SCBA President Vikas Singh highlighted that such initiatives not only foster health and well-being among legal professionals but also remind society that justice must be inclusive and accessible to every individual.
