A major controversy erupted in Hardoi after an FIR under the SC/ST Act and Section 352 BNS was filed against the Sunbeam School principal, who allegedly told a Scheduled Caste woman “Just shut up”, causing humiliation and mental harassment.

A major controversy erupted in Hardoi after an FIR was registered under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and Section 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 against the principal of Sunbeam School.

The complainant, a woman belonging to a Scheduled Caste, alleged that the school principal humiliated her and told her to “Just shut up”, causing mental harassment and violating her legal rights.

A detailed FIR has been registered in Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi district after a woman complained that she was facing continuous harassment, threats and deliberate delay by certain people connected to the education department.

According to the FIR, the complaint was filed on 27 April 2026 at 6:51 PM, and the case has been registered under Section 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, along with other applicable rules of the education administration.

The FIR states that the woman had been repeatedly approaching the authorities with serious grievances but no timely action was taken.

She said that between 12 April 2026 and 27 April 2026, she was forced to visit offices multiple times, engage in long phone calls and face unnecessary hurdles created by those who were supposed to help her.

According to her, she had informed officials that she was under pressure and facing threatening behaviour from an individual connected to educational duties, but instead of getting support, her matters were delayed further.

The FIR also mentions financial irregularities and undue demand of money linked to official documentation.

The woman alleges that she had already paid a required fee of Rs.1,200 for a transfer-related document, yet she was still being troubled and asked for more steps unnecessarily. She has submitted call details and statements to support her charge that she was mentally harassed during this period.

Along with the FIR, two official letters dated 27 April 2026 were issued by the District Basic Education Office of Hardoi. These letters show that the matter was formally circulated within the department for follow-up, indicating that internal administrative action may now take place.
