Renowned for his expertise in Constitutional law, Noorani was particularly respected for his deep knowledge of issues related to Kashmir and Article 370. Mumbai: Eminent scholar, lawyer, and political commentator, Abdul Ghafoor Majeed Noorani, passed away on Thursday in Mumbai at the age of 93.
Born in 1930, Noorani highly regarded for his expertise in Constitutional law. He was particularly well-known for his in-depth knowledge of Kashmir-related issues and Article 370, and he authored several books on these subjects.

Among his significant works are “The Kashmir Question,” “The Presidential System,” “The Trial of Bhagat Singh,” “Constitutional Questions in India,” “The RSS and the BJP: A Division of Labour,” and “Article 370: A Constitutional History of Jammu and Kashmir.”
In addition to his legal and political writings, Noorani also penned biographies of prominent figures such as Badruddin Tyabji and Dr. Zakir Husain.
