New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday reaffirmed India’s unwavering commitment to countering terrorism while celebrating Constitution Day at the Supreme Court. Speaking on the anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the victims and highlighted the resilience of India’s democracy.
PM Modi solemnly remembered the lives lost during the 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai, stating,
“At a time when we are commemorating this crucial festival of democracy, we cannot forget that today is also the anniversary of the terror attack in Mumbai. I pay homage to those who lost their lives in this attack.”
Reaffirming India’s stance against terrorism, he declared, “I reiterate the country’s resolve that every terrorist organisation challenging India’s security will be given a befitting reply.” His words reflected India’s strong determination to combat terrorism and safeguard national security.
PM Modi described the Indian Constitution as “not only a lawyer’s document but a guiding light”, emphasizing its profound influence on the nation. “The Constitution is our guiding light, it shows us the right path,” he remarked, adding that it has been a cornerstone of India’s democratic journey even during challenging times.

“It’s the power of the Constitution that today, in Jammu and Kashmir, Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Constitution is fully implemented.”
