Today, On 25th April, Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to convene a special session of Parliament to discuss the national response. After the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, senior advocate and Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal gave strong suggestions to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on how the government should respond.

Sibal asked for unity in Parliament and called for diplomatic steps to raise India’s voice at the international level.

Reacting to the incident, Kapil Sibal made an emotional and firm statement, saying,

” I have a few suggestions for the Prime Minister. A special session of the Parliament must be held to discuss and get suggestions from everyone. The nation is standing with him…”

He further said,

“A resolution must be passed unanimously to express the sentiment of the nation in front of the world…”

In his view, Parliament must show global solidarity by speaking in one voice, cutting across party lines.

To raise India’s concern at the international level, Sibal suggested an important step,

“We should send a delegation of the ruling and Oppostion MPs to countries like Africa, the US, Europe, China, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Russia and South America, so that we can tell them on a global level about the situation. We will not be able to create diplomatic pressure if we don’t take this step…”
