Nitin Gadkari Urges Citizens to File Cases Against Government for Accountability: "Court Order Stronger Than Ministers"

Nagpur: Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said that it is very important for people in the country to file legal cases against the government. He explained that this helps bring discipline in the government system.

According to him, even the government itself cannot take actions as strong and effective as a court order. He was speaking at the Late Prakash Deshpande Smriti Kushal Sangathak Puraskar function in Nagpur.

While addressing the audience, Mr. Gadkari clearly said:

“There should be some people in the society who file petitions against the government in the court. This disciplines the politicians. (This is) because even ministers in the government cannot do the work that a court order can do. Popular politics comes in the way of politicians and ministers.”

This means that according to the senior BJP leader, politicians sometimes cannot take the right decision due to political pressure. But when a court gives an order, the government has to follow it properly and immediately.

He also appreciated the people who were given the ‘Kushal Sangathak’ award at the event. He praised them for fighting legal battles for the right causes, especially in the field of education.

Mr. Gadkari said these awardees played a very active role in making the government correct its wrong decisions. In many cases, these people forced the government to change its mind and cancel faulty rules by taking legal action.

He said:

“Kushal Sangathaks filed many court cases against wrong government decisions in the education sector and even forced the government to withdraw their decisions on many instances.”

Mr. Gadkari is well known for bringing big changes to India’s road transport system. His message at the event was that filing cases in court is not only a right of the people but also a powerful tool to keep the government responsible and transparent.

In short, he encouraged responsible citizens to use the legal system to improve governance and protect public interest.
