A special NIA court granted a 10-day remand for two men accused of sheltering Pakistani terrorists behind the Pahalgam attack. Officials said, “Harboured Pakistani terrorists behind Pahalgam attack,” as the probe continues into the April incident.
A special court of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) granted a 10-day remand on Friday for two individuals arrested for harboring Pakistani terrorists responsible for the deadly Pahalgam attack in April, as reported by officials.
Earlier, a local court had approved a five-day remand for the two suspects on Monday, which concluded on Friday.
The NIA presented the accused before the special court, which subsequently granted an additional 10-day remand.

The arrested individuals, Parvaiz Ahmad Jothar from Batkote, Pahalgam, and Bashir Ahmad Jothar from Hill Park, Pahalgam, were taken into custody by the NIA on Sunday, marking a significant breakthrough in the investigation of the April 22 attack that claimed 26 lives, primarily tourists, and left 16 others injured.
According to the NIA, the detainees provided the identities of three armed terrorists involved in the attack, confirming that they were Pakistani nationals linked to the banned terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
The agency’s findings indicate that Parvaiz and Bashir knowingly sheltered the terrorists in a seasonal ‘dhok’ (hut) in Hill Park before the assault.
The two men supplied food, shelter, and logistical support to the terrorists, who, on that tragic afternoon, specifically targeted and killed tourists based on their religious identity, rendering it one of the most horrific terrorist incidents in recent history, the agency stated.
The NIA is continuing its investigation into the terror network that facilitated these brutal acts in Kashmir’s tourism center.
