“This is fake news. Nothing. I will not attend. This is fake news. Sorry…Somebody used me and some advertisements made stating that I am in this occasion.”
The poster, which has been widely shared on social media, falsely named Justice Yadav as the keynote speaker for the seminar, which was to focus on the topics of the Ram Mandir movement and cow protection.
This isn’t the first time Justice Yadav has been at the center of controversy. On December 8, he delivered a speech at an event organized by the legal cell of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), a Hindu right-wing organization. During this lecture, which centered on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), Justice Yadav made contentious remarks, asserting that India should operate according to the wishes of the majority population.
He also used the term “kathmullah,” a derogatory slur against Muslims, sparking widespread criticism.
Following his controversial statements, the Supreme Court Collegium, led by Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, summoned and cautioned Justice Yadav. The Collegium reportedly counseled him on maintaining the dignity of his judicial office.
