Supreme Court Judges Visit Ranthambore: Self-Funded Family Retreat Without Escorts, Travel Details Inside

NEW DELHI: Around twenty Supreme Court judges have taken the weekend off for a two-day trip to Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan.

According to sources, the judges, accompanied by their families, left Delhi in three buses late in the evening on September 12 (Friday) and are scheduled to return on September 14 (Sunday).

The Rajasthan High Court, in coordination with the State administration, has been making the necessary arrangements to ensure smooth travel and stay for the judges and their families.

Notably, all expenses for the trip are being borne personally by the judges, underscoring the informal and self-funded nature of the getaway.

This isn’t the first such retreat. Earlier this year, former CJI Sanjiv Khanna had led a similar two-day off-site with 24 judges to Visakhapatnam, keeping alive the tradition of periodic judicial get-togethers outside courtrooms.

The Ranthambore visit is expected to provide the judges and their families with a rare opportunity to unwind, bond, and explore wildlife away from the rigors of judicial work.
