The CBI filed a closure report in the Disha Salian death case, following a similar move in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. However, the investigation uncovered a twist, linking the case to allegations of her father’s affair and financial fraud. These revelations add a new dimension to the controversy surrounding her death. The closure report marks the end of the CBI’s probe into the case.

Just a few days after Satish Salian reentered the news with bold claims linking his daughter Disha Salian’s death to that of her client, actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the CBI filed its closure report on the matter.

On March 17, after five years of silence, Satish made strong demands for narco tests to be conducted on figures such as Aditya Thackeray, Aditya Pancholi, and Dino Morea.

He stated,

“I demanded justice for my daughter. I also demanded protection, even for my counsel. I am ready for a Narco Test. But there should be a Narco Test of Aaditya Thackeray, Sooraj Pancholi, and Dino Morea too. All accused should be tested,”

Now, within a week of his delayed outburst, the CBI’s investigation into Disha’s case appears to be concluded.

Satish Salian, the father of Disha Salian, urged the Bombay High Court reopen the investigation into her 2020 death. He is requesting that an FIR be filed against Aaditya Thackeray, a leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), and is calling for the CBI to take over the case.

A spokesperson for Shiv Sena (UBT) raised concerns about a potential conspiracy behind this sudden request after four years.

During the ongoing Budget session of the Maharashtra legislature, Satish Salian’s lawyer, Nilesh Ojha, announced plans to file a petition in the Bombay High Court for a fresh investigation into Disha Salian’s death.

Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Kishori Pednekar has suggested that there may be a conspiracy behind Satish Salian’s request for a renewed investigation into his daughter’s death.

Pednekar remarked,

“There’s clearly a conspiracy at play here. Why has this issue come to light after more than four years? The CID has already conducted an inquiry, and an SIT has been formed to investigate the matter,”

In contrast, BJP minister Nitesh Rane used this development to target Aaditya Thackeray, a former Maharashtra minister.

Rane told reporters,

“Aaditya Thackeray must tell the truth. He should resign as an MLA and cooperate with the investigation,”

Nitesh Rane, son of Narayan Rane, has alleged that Disha Salian was murdered, claiming that CCTV footage has disappeared and visitor logs have been destroyed.

Maharashtra Minister of State in the Home Department, Yogesh Kadam, stated that if Disha Salian’s father has any evidence related to her death, he should present it to the home department.

Satish’s lawyer, Nilesh Ojha, offers a contrasting perspective on this apparently conclusive development, he stated,

“It is important to note that as per the binding judgment of the Supreme Court, any closure report filed in an inquiry under Section 174 CrPC (Accidental Death Report/ADR) has no evidentiary value and cannot be relied upon by the accused in cases where cognizable offences are clearly disclosed. Therefore, the earlier closure report holds no legal weight,”
