CJI B.R. Gavai to Inaugurate New Advocate Chambers in Prayagraj Today; Chief Secretary to Lead Grand Welcome

Today, On 30th May, Chief Justice of India B.R. Gavai will inaugurate the newly built Advocate Chambers in Prayagraj . Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh will lead the grand welcome, as the High Court gears up with full preparations.

New Delhi: Chief Justice of India (CJI) B.R. Gavai is set to arrive in Prayagraj on Friday evening. On Saturday, he will officially inaugurate the newly constructed High Court Advocate Chambers and the Multi-Level Parking Building.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also expected to attend the event.

Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh will be on hand to welcome the CJI upon his arrival.

While the detailed schedule for the Chief Minister had not been confirmed as of late last night, officials indicated that he is likely to be present at the High Court function.

Meanwhile, the district administration continued preparations for the inauguration ceremony late into the night. On Thursday, District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandar inspected the venue to review the arrangements.

The inauguration of the 12-storey Advocate Chamber and the Multi-Level Parking Building at the Allahabad High Court is planned for Saturday.

Preparations are nearly complete, with the main event set to begin at 10:00 AM on the 12th floor. CJI B.R. Gavai, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Union Minister of State for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal will be in attendance.

Additionally, several Supreme Court judges, including Justices Surya Kant, J.K. Maheshwari, Pankaj Mithal, Vikram Nath, B.V. Nagarathna, and Manoj Misra, will also be present.

The Multi-Level Parking Building is designed to accommodate vehicles across five floors, with a capacity for approximately 2,300 four-wheelers and 1,500 two-wheelers.

A dedicated parking area for individuals with disabilities is available in the basement, and there is also a parking arrangement for two-wheelers for the differently-abled on the ground floor.

For advocates, 2,300 air-conditioned chambers have been constructed, along with canteen and library facilities.

The complex features 26 escalators and 24 lifts, as well as banking and ATM services on the ground floor.
